Hopathon 2017

This year’s Hopathon (12 hour sponsored dance!) will take place on Saturday 20 May from 11am to 11pm. We will be raising money for the Multiple System Atrophy Trust, a charity that’s important to two dancers in the society whose family members have been affected by this rare neurological disease. Help us to raise awareness of this charity that desperately needs more recognition and support, and to raise much needed funds to help improve the lives of people with MSA and their families.

What’s Happening?

11am – 11pm, Dance Marathon!  By taking part you’ll be part of a team who together will make sure that at least one couple is on the dance floor at all times during the 12 hour dance marathon. It should be fun, as well as hard work! There will be tea and cake and some great DJ sets throughout the day. Plus live music from The Accidentalists to take us through those last few hours, and lots of support from those attending the evening dance (open to all).

7pm – 11pm,  evening dance with The Accidentalists – open to all. Tickets for the dance are £12, available to buy on the door, and this includes a lindy hop lesson from 7.45 – 8.30.
This evening dance is the culmination of this year’s hopathon (12 hour sponsored dance!), so do come along and keep our sponsored dancers going and have some fun yourself

Where: Centre at St Paul’s, Hills Road, Cambridge, CB2 1JP
