Cambridge Lindy Hoppers are delighted to present a Lindy Hop workshop weekend with the fantastic Hasse and Marie in Cambridge on Saturday 3rd & Sunday 4th December 2011, accompanied by a social dance on the Saturday evening.

 

Teachers: Hasse Mattson and Marie Nahnfeldt Mattson

“Hasse and Marie are internationally recognized for their high energy and spirit as Lindy Hop dancers and instructors. Their classes emphasize the use of musicality, technique and partner connection. Energy and focus on fun are constant elements to every class.

This couple have a lot of teaching experience, all from beginners to competition couples, and they appear on the teaching line up for many established camps around the globe, including Herräng (Sweden), Camp Hollywood (USA) and Rock That Swing Festival (Germany) just to mention a few.

Hasse and Marie live just outside Stockholm, Sweden. They have been dancing together for many years and are four times Swedish Champions in Boogie Woogie (1998- 2001) and also one time Swedish Champions in Bugg (2001).

Today they are no longer competing together, but every once in a while you´ll see them entering Jackn´Jills, Intergenerationals and balboa competitions – being very successful. They are doing their best to learn more about dancing and to spread their knowledge and passion for Swing dancing to others.”

Sat 3rd December 2011, 7.30pm – late: Cambridge Lindy Christmas Party and lindy hop social dance (Christmas dressing up and baking of cakes and other sticky things very much encouraged! We’ll have great music from our DJs all night.)

Sun 4th December 2011, 10.15am – 4.30pm: Intermediate/Advanced Lindy Hop Workshop (details to be confirmed)

Prices

Prices per person (Cambridge Lindy Hoppers society members prices in brackets):

- Improvers/intermediate workshop (Saturday - includes entry to evening dance): £27 (£25)

- Saturday evening dance only: £8 (£6)

- Intermediate/advanced workshop (Sunday – includes entry to Saturday evening dance): £27 (£25)

- Whole weekend (both workshops and evening dance): £45 (£40)

Alternatively you can book and pay at one of our regular classes. To maintain a good lead/follow ratio we may have to use a waiting list system, so book quickly to be assured of a place.

Payment can be made by cash, UK cheque or bank transfer – details will be provided when you register.

Only tickets for the Saturday evening social dance will be available on the door. Tickets bought on the door must be paid for in cash.
