The Cambridge Lindy Hoppers present Lindy Hop Workshop on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th November 2010 with the fabulous Ursula Ader and Tobias Karsten

Teachers

Ursula and Tobias started teaching Lindy Hop in Münster a few years ago. Since then, due to their fantastic and enthusiastic teaching, their scene has been blooming, reaching over 200 students at present. They have been teaching internationally with great success, resulting in being asked over and over again. They form a perfect team with their unique shrewd and dynamic style, with an incredible feeling for music. If we had to describe them in a few words, we would say: Creative, inspiring, laid-back and over all hearty.

In addition to their love of Lindy Hop, Usch and Tobias are well known Tap dancers, covering classical and modern tap styles as well as the art of Body drumming. They teach classes for the experienced tap dancer as well as Body drumming taster classes for the curious Lindy Hopper, providing a whole new experience.

Their tap and body drumming performances are stunning highlights, full of technical excellence and musicality, always performed with an eye-twinkle that makes audiences jaws-drop.

Evening Dance

Included in each workshop booking is a fabulous Swing Dance (also available separately), arrive on time at 7pm as Ursula and Tobias will be giving a Body Drumming Taster Class – not to be missed!

Venue

Workshops will run from 10am -4pm

Evening dance and taster class starts at 7pm

Prices

Improver’s Lindy Hop – Saturday 27th Nov. Members: £25 Non-members: £27.

Intermediate/Advanced Lindy Hop -Sunday 28th Nov. Members: £25 Non-members: £27.

Both workshops – Sat 27th & Sun 28th Nov. Members: £40 Non-members: £45.

Saturday Dance only (inc. taster class) Members: £6 Non-members: £8

Please note that CLH membership is available and is valid until 31 October 2011, and gets you at least one pound off every CLH class and discounted events. Please ask for further information about joining.

Refreshments

Lunch can be purchased from the hospital food court. Tea/coffee/water/biscuits will be available throughout the day.

We will be taking bookings from the 1st October to allow you to become a CLH member, or renew your membership to take advantage of the discount on the workshop and CLH events and classes over the next year.

All timings are approximate and include breaks. We will do our best to get an even ratio of leads and follows in the workshops.

Workshop Levels

To attend the Saturday Improvers workshops you should be comfortable with the basic Charleston and 8 and 6 count triple step footwork.

To attend the Sunday Intermediate/Advanced workshop you should be comfortable with the above as well as Lindy Turn (Swing Out), Lindy Circle, and simple footwork variations.
